Paths of Opportunity
Numerous career paths are available for prospective employees.
Administration. Our entire business stands on a foundation of accounting, legal, administrative, development, facilities, finance, and human resource professionals.
Community support. Community advocates provide clinical support and guidance for people with chronic conditions. Each advocate serves as a liaison to help the Accredo team customize its programs to meet the needs of patients. Community advocates typically have a background in social science or social work.
Customer service. Customer service opportunities are available in all divisions of Accredo. Our client care coordinators and service representatives have a variety of responsibilities, including telephone contact with patients and doctors, plus coordination of supplies and orders.
Information technology. Accredo uses leading-edge technology to maintain and safeguard medical records. Skilled information specialists are needed in the areas of analysis, data security, programming, systems, database development, desktop support, and at the help desk.
Management. Our executives and managers usually have pharmacy, nursing, or business backgrounds, but many opportunities also exist for employees to advance as supervisors, managers, senior managers, directors, and executives.
Nursing. Besides the therapy teams, our nurses provide an additional level of support to patients. Accredo nurses are true assets, performing as case managers, cardiopulmonary nurse specialists, clinical call center nurses, clinical coordinators, infusion nurses, and per diem nurses.
Pharmacy. Organized by therapy, our pharmacy teams are multifaceted. Team members work together to counsel clients. They fill prescriptions, prepare shipments, monitor outcomes, and solve problems. At facilities all over the country, we rely on teams of licensed pharmacists and certified pharmacy technicians.
Reimbursement. Accredo’s reimbursement teams receive referrals, research benefits, and notify patients of their coverage and financial obligations. They also file claims with insurers and follow up on collection. Specific positions include cash application specialist, claims processor, insurance analyst, patient rep, record clerk, and reimbursement specialist.
Sales, marketing, and managed care. Our national account managers and contract administration teams promote our products among commercial payors. They do so by negotiating contracts and promoting Accredo as a provider. Account managers also work on a regional level to promote our products to doctors. In this role, they make office visits, schedule training sessions, and work closely with sales reps of pharmaceutical manufacturers. The marketing team supports these efforts through coordinated product launches, sales collateral, enrollment materials, advertising, exhibits, educational materials for patients, and websites. |
